Inclusive Counseling

Hello there! I am thrilled that you are embarking on your mental health journey. My name is Alexis, and I work as a therapist in Cincinnati. I am deeply committed to normalizing conversations around mental well-being and encourage people to seek mental health support regardless of the season they may find themselves in. Mental health is an integral part of healthcare, and I am looking forward to supporting you on this step.

 

I hold a master's degree in social work from Western New Mexico University and completed my undergraduate studies in the same field at Miami University. I have been a licensed social worker for ten years, with nine of those years dedicated to working in the mental health field. I have experience as a school-based and outpatient therapist, and most recently, I served as a crisis response therapist in community mental health. It is a privilege to meet individuals where they are and walk alongside them on their therapeutic journey, helping them navigate challenging paths. While I have worked with children, I find it incredibly rewarding to support individuals aged 18 and older in processing life transitions and developing coping skills for healing and flourishing. I utilize multiple modalities to cater to each client's needs. 

 

In my free time, I love spending time with my dog, Cooper, as well as with my family and friends. I am passionate about "Dancing with the Stars" and even lead a fantasy league with my friends each season! I am an active member of my church community and enjoy participating in the occasional trivia night with my small group. I am an avid consumer of audiobooks and enjoy listening to various genres, from fantasy to romantic comedies to Stephen King, whether I'm driving or relaxing at home.
