Hello! I’m glad you’re here. It warms my heart to see that you have decided to take a courageous step toward healing and pursue therapy!

My name is Sydney (she/her), and I’m a licensed social worker. My passion is working with folks of marginalized identities, as well as with folks wanting to heal from complex, developmental and/or relational trauma. As a therapist, my goal is to provide an inclusive, affirming and safe space for my clients, so they can be heard and empowered to make changes while being able to show up as their authentic selves.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process between myself and my client. My therapeutic framework is person-centered at its core. Clients are the experts in their own experiences—I just provide them the tools to get them where they want to be! I like to provide psychoeducation as needed to my clients because I believe that knowledge is power! I also like to ensure that I give my clients space to process difficult emotions and experiences. I work from a trauma-informed lens that guides clients to feeling more safe within themselves and navigating life in more empowering ways. I am also passionate about social justice, and I like to use that passion to inform my practice in helping clients, as systemic issues can have a profound impact on mental health. My therapeutic approach is eclectic; I incorporate aspects of many different modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and experiential somatic-based therapies.

I graduated from Ohio University in 2019 with my Bachelor’s degree in psychology and from the University of Cincinnati in 2022 with my Master’s degree in social work. In my career thus far, I have worked with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds and diagnoses.
